Doing The Most: A Floral Celebration of Color, Confidence & Joy
If you know me, you know I love a bold moment. So when fashion designer and creative visionary, Bunnie Benton, invited me to design florals for her latest event “Doing The Most: A Fashion Hang Out”, I already knew it had to be fun, fearless, and full of personality.

Held at Burgers, Tacos, and Wings on Merrick Boulevard in Jamaica, NY, the chic space was buzzing with great food, good music, and even better energy. Owners, Maddie and Philip, were extremely helpful and accommodating during my set up and tear down of the decor.

This wasn’t just any fashion-forward hangout. It was a celebration of joyful self-expression, inspired by Bunnie’s newest creative project, a children’s book!
While the project hasn’t officially launched yet, the event gave guests a sneak peek into the world she’s building, complete with affirmation cards, vibrant decor, and branded stickers featuring her signature “Bunnie” cartoon character. The whole vibe was about dressing boldly, embracing your style, and spreading joy. “Doing The Most” was not just a hangout, but was also a brand activation.

The Florals
Bunnie gave me complete creative freedom to design the focal point for her event. To match the message, I created a custom ombre silk floral installation; a radiant flow from blush pinks to sunshine yellow, into lavender and deep purples. It was playful, expressive, and confidence-boosting… just like the theme of the day and its curator.
I grounded the blooms with soft white draping and topped it off with a glowing neon sign that read:
“You’re like really pretty.”
Because kids and grownups alike deserve to hear that and believe it.
The florals created a full-on affirmation wall and camera-ready moment where guests could pose, celebrate, and soak in the energy of the space. In her own words, Bunnie shared:
“Everyone had a space and moment to shine and that’s truly amazing!”
That’s the kind of impact I strive for with every install.
Why It Worked
This wasn’t a traditional launch. It was a pre-release experience… a teaser of what’s to come from Bunnie’s universe of color, creativity, and confidence. My floral install helped set the tone for that vision: bold, welcoming, and wildly joyful.
Guests showed up in full creative expression: from rainbow sequins to pinstripes to matching cage skirts worn by me and my daughter. Every outfit was a statement, every photo was a vibe, and that group shot was pure magic. You could feel the love and intention in the room, and that’s what makes an event unforgettable.
And while most people know Flowers In Wunderland for our over-the-top wedding florals, events like this are a reminder. We’re here for every moment that deserves a little wunder. From soft launches and product reveals to book signings and fashion events, if you’re doing the most, we want in.
