Behind the Generation Tux Jersey Gardens Mall Floral Installation
When Generation Tux reached out about partnering for their Jersey Gardens Mall storefront, I knew we couldn’t just deliver a standard floral install. Flowers in Wunderland isn’t about the ordinary. We deliver bold, whimsical, and wonderfully original designs. Flowers in Wunderland was thrilled to design a Generation Tux Jersey Gardens Mall floral installation, bringing bold fall florals to life. Our mantra has always been “We’re all mad here” and that means leaning into unexpected ideas that transform spaces into full-on experiences that make people feel something.
So when Jessica from Generation Tux asked what I envisioned, my first thought was, “Why don’t we make a mannequin head completely out of flowers?”
That’s how Manny the Groom was born. With his oversized floral headpiece, Manny became a whimsical, conversation-starting centerpiece that drew people in. The design showcased my signature Wunderland Sweep — a dramatic floral technique I often use in my weddings and events, blending monochromatic palettes with big, sculptural sweeps of florals.

The Floral Mannequin: A Wunderland Sweep
Our mannequin, affectionately nicknamed Manny, became the star of the install. His entire head was transformed into a luxury floral sculpture using my signature Wunderland Sweep — the bold diagonal flow of blooms that defines my style.
For Manny, we combined deep burgundy roses, wine hydrangeas, and romantic ivory blooms with cascading orchids and gilded wheat accents. The result was a dramatic, fashion-forward centerpiece that felt both masculine and romantic. It was the perfect match for a groom’s tuxedo moment.

Fall Wedding Flower Inspiration
To frame the entrance of the Generation Tux shop, we built a sweeping floral installation across the top of the storefront. This design drew inspiration from classic fall wedding florals… amber, gold, rust, and warm rose tones layered with lush greenery and dramatic branches.
The result was a luxe, seasonal canopy that mall shoppers couldn’t miss. It wasn’t just décor, it was an invitation into the world of elevated wedding style; one where fashion and flowers go hand-in-hand. It transformed the storefront into a romantic, photo-worthy destination.
This kind of commercial floral installation is about more than just flowers. It’s about stopping people in their tracks, creating buzz on social media, and giving a brand a statement piece that people want to interact with. That’s the kind of storytelling I love bringing to life through design.

Social Media Storytelling: Meet Manny
Of course, the installation wasn’t complete without a little fun. The Generation Tux Jersey Gardens Mall floral installation didn’t stop at the florals. We turned it into a full content experience. On social media, Manny became more than just a mannequin. He became a groom in need of a last-minute tux.
I created a social media storyline around Manny, the flower-headed groom who needed a last-minute tux. I filmed videos treating him like a real groom; escorting him to Generation Tux so he wouldn’t disappoint his spouse-to-be. Treating him like a real groom added humor, relatability, and a viral-ready hook. The floral mannequin wasn’t just an installation, it was a character-driven marketing moment that tied directly back to Generation Tux’s service. The content was playful, highly shareable, and gave people a behind-the-scenes look at the installation.
This kind of narrative design shows how florals can go beyond visual merchandising and become part of a brand’s digital storytelling.
This blend of design + storytelling is exactly what makes an installation memorable. It’s not just décor. It’s an experience, a character, and a moment that people want to capture and share.

The Results: Brand Impact
This floral activation delivered on multiple levels:
- Visual Merchandising → The install reframed the storefront as an immersive experience, not just a retail space.
- Customer Engagement → Shoppers stopped to take photos and created organic buzz for the brand.
- Cross-Promotion → As part of the partnership, I was spotlighted on Generation Tux’s social platforms, expanding both of our audiences.
